On Saturday 21st June 2008, the Embassy soccer team played in an inter-school soccer competition with 11 other English language schools from Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
With Kristian as their coach, mentor and strategist, Embassy played well all day managing to make it to the Grand Final.
Through injury, Embassy’s numbers were not at their strongest for the final so unfortunately we lost the grand final 2-1 to Bond University and are therefore the 2008 runners up.
This is by far the best result Embassy has had since the competition’s inception so huge congratulations to Kristian and the team!

I played this tournament, it was awesome !!!
We surpassed all difficulties. In my opinion we did more than everyone expected.
Embassy didn´t give us any subsidy, we paid the buses, the ferry and the food. We had to wear our own clothes (including soccer boots and shinguard.
We had only 13 players. In the first match one of the player injured, so we only had 1 reserve ! Because of the effort some players got cramp.
Being the runner-up was like being the champion
By the way, my team-mates ... it was a pleasure to play with you
