My Hot Fashion
I ride my bicycle to school almost every day because I need to save money. I try to enjoy my 20-minute bicycle trips looking at beautiful scenery. Actually, I sometimes get bored because nothing changes.
I try to make the trip better by listening to music, finding little changes in nature, and imagining the trip is good exercise. One day, I found a new distraction for my trip at a market and it has made it more comfortable.
Do you know suflower seeds which you can eat? I learned about sunflower seeds by watching major leaguers. I remember I felt cool eating the seeds in the same style. Now, eating sunflower seeds has become one of my hot fashions while I ride my bike.
Before I ride my bicycle, I put lots of seeds inside my mouth. Gum is also OK if I just want taste. But the point is how I spit out only the shell after dividing it
inside my mouth one by one. I can enjoy not only the beautiful taste but also the style to spit the seeds out of my mouth. It is kind of hot, isn't it?
By the way, what is the hottest recent story from you, your school, or your country? I want to hear stories from you. The hot season is coming to Washington State (it is still cold here.) Why don't we warm up together?
Please be careful Keita!
I was on my bike recently, about to turn right from the road where I live (here in England, we drive on the left). I had looked behind me and seen nothing, but I could *hear* something odd, so I waited a while.
A car came racing down the road at about 100 miles an hour. I hadn't seen it, because it was far away when I looked back, but it was going so fast that it would have hit me if I had pulled out at that moment.
That's when I vowed never to listen to music while I cycled! I need all my senses, and my sense of hearing saved my life on this occasion.

Thank you for your advice, Myf.
I try to be careful more than before. I have tried to find new distractions, but I might be more intent riding bike.
Anyway, I am glad you did not get hurt.

Thank you for your responses.
Lana,
What is "you are so green" mean?
you also should save your money. Eat a little, exersise a lot.
Yigit,
When I posted this topic, my writing was "why don't we get hot". I wanted tell like, "let's get excited", but I chose "hot" because of the tittle of this blog. Myf, the editor of student blog changed my writing correctly.

Yes, I changed the text from 'let's get hot' because that has another meaning in English - one that I can't really explain, because it's a bit embarrasing... 'Let's warm up' is much more friendly, less intimate.
'Being green' means to be ecologically conscious.
By the way, I admire your willingness to explore idioms. You shouldn't be disheartened by my corrections - I hope you are not. If you explore, and dare to make mistakes, you will get fluent much faster.

Thanks for your warmhearted messages.
S.J.
Let's go hang out somewhere! It sounds great! I am glad you want to go hang out with me.
Do you know a place where is good for trip? Talk to you later!
Sea hee,
Why didn't you tell me that? Why not? You can borrow my bike, of course. In P.L.U, there is full of green, so you will feel easy.
Myf,
Thank you for your explaining about "green".
I know "hot" also has sexual meaning because my teacher told me. As I am bigginer English speaker, so teacher said to me, "it's so funny" and "it's OK if you are misunderstanding about "hot" so far".
However, I don't mind if my writing is changed. and I appriciate you correct my writing better every time.
Anyway, I want to learn English more, so this blog is great time to me. Thanks!

Hey Keita
I LOVE your blog. It is so so great to read.
Next time you want to say 'HOT' you could say 'HAWT'.
It's a great new word that sounds the same, but it is also an acronym for "Having A Wonderful Time" or "Have A Wonderful Time".
